TESTING AND BALANCING JUNIOR TECHNICIAN

This position is well suited for a self-driven person looking for long term employment in a dynamic company.

Your Qualifications Must Include:

  • Post secondary diploma in HVAC systems or equivalent work experience
  • Knowledge of ventilation and hydronic systems
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and specifications
  • Comfortable to use Excel and cloud file sharing applications
  • Very good mechanical aptitude in using hand tools
  • Ability to use specialized instruments
  • Clean background check as most facilities require a police clearance letter
  • Excellent written and communication skills
  • Algebra skills to be used in calculating formulas, fractions and use of XY graphs.

Before You Start in Your Position You Must Have:

  • Applicants must possess a G-full valid driver license and have access to a reliable vehicle as project locations vary throughout or outside GTA
  • Own steel toe boots are a requirement

Physical demands: climb ladders, access building roofs, open ceiling tiles, use aerial platforms or scissor lifts to access ventilation equipment

Work environment: various commercial, industrial and residential occupied buildings or construction sites, a variety of spaces including mechanical rooms, hospitals.

HEATING VENTILATION AND AIR CONDITIONING (HVAC) TECHNOLOGIST

This position is well suited for a self-driven person looking for long term employment in a dynamic company.

  • Provide all safety gear, hand tools and instruments to use on site.
  • Wage: $ 32.00/hour

Your Qualifications Must Include:

  • Minimum 1 year experience in air and water balancing.
  • Post-secondary diploma in HVAC systems or equivalent work experience.
  • Clean background check as most facilities require a police clearance letter.
  • Excellent written English and communication skills.
  • Valid Working at Heights and WHMIS safety completed in class.

List of Job Duties

  • Independently complete the air and water balancing work end to end: to include site work and report.
  • Strong knowledge hydronic and ventilation systems, be ready to pass the NEBB Certified Technician test. A written test will be administered at the time of the interview.
  • Experience to read and interpret mechanical specifications and drawings.
  • Comfortable to use advanced Excel, cloud file sharing applications, algebra and use of XY graphs to plot operating points for pump and fan curves.
  • Very good mechanical aptitude in using hand tools: complete pulley replacement.
  • Physical demands: climb ladders, access building roofs, open ceiling tiles, use aerial platforms or scissor lifts to access ventilation equipment.
  • Experienced using specialized instruments VENTILATION: Evergreen, Alnor, Shortridge, or HYDRONIC: Alnor & T&A, ULTRASONINC: Fuji and Yoke.
  • Able to travel to northern Ontario or elsewhere in the province and work independently for extended periods of time.
  • Able to work evenings and weekends – based on project specific requirements.
